Most affordable non-Chinese electric scooters in India: Ola S1 X to TVS iQube​

​Ola Electric recently launched its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 X at a starting price of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom). Powering the Ola S1 X is a 2 kWh and 3 kWh battery, offering an IDC-certified range of 91 km and 151 km. The company claims that Ola S1 X's top speed is 90 kmph. ​

Ather 450S​

​In June 2023, Ather Energy introduced the new base variant, the 450S at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Ather 450S sources its power from a 3 kWh battery, delivering an IDC-certified range of 115 km. It has a top speed of 90 kmph.​

River Indie ​

Available at a price of Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the River Indie is one of the most affordable electric scooters with a bigger 4 kWh battery, offering a real-world range of 120 km. It has a claimed top speed of 90 kmph and uses an electric motor, which generates a peak power of 6.7 kW and a max torque of 26 Nm. ​

​Second-gen Ola S1 Pro ​

​The second-gen Ola S1 Pro uses a 4 kWh battery, delivering a certified range of 195 km. With a top speed of 120 kmph, the S1 Pro electric scooter produces a max power output of 11 kW. Accelerating from 0-40 kmph in 2.6 seconds, the second-gen Ola S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom). ​

Hero Vida V1 Pro​

The Hero Vida V1 Pro comes equipped with a 3.94 kWh battery, delivering a real-world range of 110 km. The electric motor generates a peak power of 6 kW and provides a top speed of 80 kmph. It goes from 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds. ​

TVS iQube ​

​Equipped with a 7-inch multi-functional touch screen, the TVS iQube on-road price in Delhi is Rs 1.23 lakh after FAME-II subsidy. It is powered by a 3.04kWh li-ion battery that offers a range of 100 km per charge. The TVS iQube top speed is 78 kmph. The battery can be juiced up from 0-80% in 4 hour 30 minutes. ​
