Mahindra reveals stunning Thar.E and Scorpio-N based global pickup: Details

During its #Futurescape unveil event in Cape Town, Mahindra announced that popular SUVs such as the Thar, Scorpio-N and Bolero will get an electric upgrade soon.

Global pickup revealed:
Mahindra also revealed a global pickup for international markets, which is based on the Scorpio-N SUV.

Project code Z121:
The global pickup will feature Level 2 ADAS and will be targeted towards international markets such as South Africa, the UK and Europe.

India launch:
The global pickup is expected to be launched in India and other ASEAN markets at a later timeframe, presumably post-2026.

Thar.E unveiled:
Mahindra also surprised its audience by unveiling the concept model of the Thar.E.

Next-generation from the ground-up:
The Thar.E will be based on the all-new INGLO platform and will not share any tech or components with the petrol/diesel Thar.

5-door from the beginning:
Based on the concept, the Thar.E will also be a 5-door off-roader which would make it longer than the existing Thar.

Seven electric SUVs incoming:
Including the new Thar.E, Scorpio-N and Bolero electric, Mahindra is gearing up to. Bring seven electric SUVs soon. Four electric SUVs from the BE and XUV.e range will be launched between December 2024 to April 2026.

All-new logo:
The Born Electric SUVs would also feature a new infinity logo which Mahindra revealed in Cape Town on August 15.
