Safety is one of the major concerns for most car buyers. So here we list the five safest SUVs in India with a five-star rating that were tested by the Global NCAP under its program ‘Safer Cars for India’.

Mahindra XUV700 - 5 star GNCAP rating
In the latest GNCAP test, the Mahindra XUV700 received a five-star rating in Adult Occupant Protection. The XUV700 scored 16.03 points out of 17 points in adult occupant protection. In terms of child occupant protection, the SUV earned a four-star rating of 41.66 points out of 49 points.

Skoda Kushaq/Volkswagen Taigun - 5 star GNCAP rating
Based on the modular MQB-A0-IN platform, the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun scored a five-star rating in adult occupant protection and child occupant protection. Both SUVs come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill Hold Control, and more.

Mahindra Scorpio N - 5-star GNCAP rating
Recently, Global NCAP tested the Scorpio-N SUV under the new test protocols, and it scored a 5-star safety rating in the AOP category. The Scorpio-N scored 29.25 points out of 34 points in adult occupant protection. In terms of child occupant protection, the SUV earned a three-star rating of 28.93 points out of 49 points.

Tata Punch - 5 star GNCAP rating
The second Tata SUV to receive a five-star GNCAP rating is Tata Punch. It scored a five-star rating in adult occupant protection with 16.45 points out of 17 points. The SUV earned a four-star rating in side occupant safety with 40.89 points out of 49 points.
