The first on the list is Global NCAP. The company started its operations in 2011 and has tested several cars and SUVs worldwide. GNCAP launched a campaign called #SaferCarsForIndia under which it tested many cars in India.

The ASEAN NCAP was jointly established by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) and the Global New Car Assessment Program (Global NCAP) in December 2011. This company tests cars and SUVs sold in Southeast Asian countries.

The EURO NCAP was founded in 1996 and is considered to be one of the toughest NCAPs. This company tests cars and SUVs sold in European countries and works in partnership with seven European governments.

Recently, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, launched Bharat NCAP, India's car crash testing programme. The Bharat NCAP will test the cars and SUVs sold in India and will be assigned star ratings based on their safety performance.
